A Handy Get Screenshot App

We all use screen shots from time to. Here is a little automator app that allows you to select the area of the screen you want to snap and saves the file to desktop.

All you do is download the file from here and install it somewhere you have easy access to it. I suggest you put it into the Script Menu in the top menu bar.

To install this (if you haven’t already) the open Utilities/Script Editor and go to preferences. Check the box Show Script Menu.script by .

You can then move the Get Screenshot app to the folder Library/Scripts/ and it will appear in the dropdown menu in the menu bar so its available all the time.

Choose the app and select the area you want to snap, give it a name and its saved to your desktop.

      Thanks David. Should have mentioned that!!! This little script though means you can name the screenshots as you do them. Just makes it easier to label and find the shots you are looking for.
